Meet Laurie – Dental Hygiene Leader and Public Health Advocate
An ADHA member for over 38 years, Laurie has served in various component and constituent leadership positions in both Colorado and Washington State, including a term on the ADHA Board as District X Trustee from 2005-2010. Her diverse clinical background spans general practice, pediatric practice, and public health, where she excelled at running school sealant programs, contributing to oral health coalitions, and coordinating multiple public health initiatives.
Beyond clinical care, Laurie brings extensive experience in legislation, rule writing, Sunset/Sunrise review processes, and parliamentary procedure/meeting management. Currently, she is a Project & Process Improvement Manager in the healthcare division of EXL Services and also serves as the Implant Audit Program Subject Matter Expert (SME). With over 20 years of experience in contract compliance medical claim auditing, healthcare policy and data analysis, and program development, Laurie remains dedicated to advancing the dental hygiene profession and improving access to quality oral health care.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Laurie enjoys quilting, cooking, reading, baseball, hiking, traveling, and cheering for her beloved Seahawks and Mariners. Her enduring commitment to dental hygiene, combined with her broad experience and passion for community health, continues to inspire those around her.

Nicole Garlington-Doughty

Meet Nicole Garlington-Doughty, RDH – Dedicated Dental Hygienist, Mentor, and Community Advocate
Born and raised in sunny Florida, Nicole Garlington-Doughty, RDH began her journey in dentistry as a dental assistant, discovering a deep appreciation for patient care and the profession’s positive impact. A recent graduate of Concorde Career College, Nicole has now realized her lifelong passion by becoming a registered dental hygienist. She brings dedication and skill to every patient interaction, all while proudly balancing life as a military wife, mom to two wonderful children, and “professional walker” to the family’s energetic golden retriever.
Beyond the operatory, Nicole actively contributes to the profession and her community. She serves as a member of the Pikes Peak College Advisory Board, volunteers with Mission of Mercy and the Special Olympics, and provides oral health presentations and fluoride treatments to local schools. Additionally, Nicole founded Toothbytes, a dental podcast offering authentic insights into the dental hygiene school experience—empowering students, new graduates, and colleagues through support, mentorship, and valuable industry knowledge.

Danielle (Dani) Ford is the Program Manager for School-Based and Mobile Dental Programs at Denver Health Hospital in downtown Denver, Colorado. With over 13 years of experience as a practicing dental hygienist, Dani has dedicated her career to advancing public and community health through innovative dental care delivery models. Her expertise spans preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene, medical-dental integration, teledentistry, and school-based and mobile oral health programs.
Dani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Colorado State University’s Global Division. She has also completed Lean Academy and Management Systems training, equipping her with the skills to lead efficient and impactful healthcare initiatives.
As a passionate advocate for education and access to care, Dani serves as a part-time instructor in the Bachelor of Dental Hygiene completion program at Colorado Northwestern Community College. She also actively contributes to the dental hygiene profession as a Delegate for the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and is the President-Elect of the Colorado Dental Hygienists’ Association.
A fifth-generation Colorado native, Dani is deeply committed to providing care in alternative settings and expanding access to dental services wherever and however they are needed.

Meet Courtney Justice, RDH, BSDH, FADHA, CH-OSE – Dental Hygienist, Advocate, and Educator
Courtney Justice is a Registered Dental Hygienist devoted to improving access to care and advancing oral health equity. A graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene, Courtney is currently pursuing a master’s degree to further enhance her impact in the profession.
Courtney serves as the Immediate Past President, Western Slope Director, and ADHA Delegation Chair of the Colorado Dental Hygienists’ Association, reflecting her commitment to leadership and policy development at both the state and national levels. As a Regional Oral Health Specialist supporting rural, school-based, and teledentistry programs, she ensures that underserved communities in Southwestern Colorado receive vital dental services.
Through her business, Justice Dental, LLC, Courtney partners with local dental hygiene programs to teach Interim Therapeutic Restoration (ITR) licensing courses, empowering hygienists to deliver minimally invasive dentistry at the top of their licensure. In her spare time, she travels nationwide as a Mobile Dental X-Ray CORE Lead with Remote Area Medical (RAM), providing training and education to volunteers so that essential dental care reaches even the most remote regions.

Kendra Fewell-Hartling began her dental hygiene career in 2024 after graduating from Concorde Career College in Aurora. A former U.S. Army Intelligence Officer, she completed three combat tours in the Middle East before transitioning into dentistry. She now channels her commitment to service into compassionate, patient-centered care. Kendra holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice, an MA in Organizational Management, and an MPA from Drake University. She volunteers with the Colorado Mission of Mercy and enjoys exploring Colorado with her husband and son.

Meet Tabitha Converse, BSDH, RDH – Experienced Clinician and Dedicated Advocate
Tabitha Converse brings over 20 years of clinical experience to the dental hygiene profession. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Wyoming in 2018, Tabitha has continued to uphold her belief in the importance and fulfillment of volunteering and serving others.
As a passionate clinical hygienist, she takes pride in representing and supporting her fellow professionals. Her career reflects this dedication, having served as an ADHA Delegate, CODHA Metro Component Director, and now as the CODHA Treasurer. Tabitha values the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from brilliant, passionate CODHA hygienists, continually working to advance the profession and enhance the quality of oral health care.

Meet Alyssa Aberle, RDH, MBA – Colorado Dental Hygienist, Leader, and Advocate
Alyssa Aberle is a Colorado dental hygienist with a profound understanding of the profession and a bold vision for its future. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous nonprofit and community health organizations, including Kids In Need of Dentistry, Salud Family Health Centers, the Colorado Orthodontic Foundation, STRIDE Community Health Center (formerly MCPN), and most recently, Deserving Dental. Inspired to broaden her impact, Alyssa earned a Master’s in Business Administration, gaining valuable insights into organizational management and leadership.
Today, Alyssa works in a mobile dental program, providing essential oral health services to homeless shelters and residential treatment facilities. Her dedication to advocacy and advancing the dental hygiene profession is evident in her commitment to improving access and elevating standards of care across Colorado.
Outside of her professional life, Alyssa embraces the Colorado lifestyle with her family of five, spending free time hiking, backpacking, and boating in the great outdoors. A true 90’s music enthusiast, she also loves movie theater popcorn and chai tea, adding a touch of fun to her passionate pursuit of progress in the dental hygiene field.

Meet Tammy Madewell, RDH – Colorado Native and Passionate Dental Professional
Born in Longmont and raised in Berthoud, Tammy Madewell, RDH has deep roots in the Colorado community. Her journey in dentistry began as a dental assistant, ultimately leading her to earn her credentials from Concorde in 2017. This hands-on experience and education have fueled Tammy’s passion for providing exceptional patient care and helping others achieve optimal oral health.
Outside of her professional life, Tammy embraces the Colorado lifestyle—enjoying outdoor recreation, spending quality time with family, and exploring new destinations through travel. Her dedication to the dental field and love for her home state continue to inspire her work and enhance the patient experience.

With 35 years of experience in the dental field, including 24 years as a dental hygienist, Jennifer Hosburgh, RDH, FADHA has consistently broadened her expertise to help others achieve and maintain optimal oral and overall health. As an ADHA member for 23 years, she values ongoing professional development and collaboration, crediting her active membership and board involvement with the Colorado Dental Hygienists’ Association (CODHA) for many of her professional accomplishments.
Since relocating to Colorado in 2014, Jennifer and her family have fully embraced all that the state has to offer. Her enduring dedication to advancing the dental hygiene profession, combined with a passion for community well-being, continues to inspire her contributions within the dental community.

Kaylee Archuleta, RDH, BSDH, is a dedicated dental hygienist with nearly four years of clinical experience across diverse practice settings. She earned her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Pueblo Community College and went on to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene, further strengthening her clinical expertise and commitment to evidence-based care.
Throughout her career, Kaylee has worked in private practice, provided temporary hygiene services in a variety of offices, and currently serves in community health. Her broad experience has allowed her to adapt to different patient populations while maintaining a strong focus on patient education, preventive care, and compassionate service. She is passionate about improving access to oral healthcare and empowering patients to take an active role in their overall health.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional growth, Kaylee is currently pursuing her MBA to expand her leadership skills and understanding of healthcare management. She is driven by a desire to contribute not only clinically, but also strategically, to the advancement of dental and community health services.

Meet Brooke Bodart, RDH, MPA, MBA – Experienced Hygienist, Educator, and Industry Innovator
Brooke Bodart serves as the Denver Metro Component Director for the CODHA. With over 25 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Brooke has practiced in multiple states, delivering quality care in both private and public health settings. Her diverse professional background includes non-profit administration, teaching in dental hygiene programs, and working in dental insurance. Currently, Brooke contributes to the dental industry from a different angle—Software Product Management—focusing on the development of insurance processing systems.
Brooke holds a Master’s in Public Affairs (MPA) from Indiana University and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Denver, combining her clinical expertise with robust administrative and strategic leadership skills. She actively gives back to her community through annual volunteering at COMOM and other local organizations.
In her free time, Brooke enjoys traveling and spending quality moments with her rescue Pittie, Gabby—emphasizing the compassion and dedication that drive her work in oral health and beyond.

Meet Jindy Page, MPH, RDH – Skilled Dental Hygienist and Public Health Advocate
Jindy Page is a 2010 graduate of the Dental Hygiene program at Pueblo Community College, who went on to earn her Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from Liberty University in 2014. With 14 years of experience primarily in private practice, Jindy’s clinical expertise and passion for preventive care have shaped her approach to improving oral health at the community level.
In February 2024, Jindy stepped away from clinical practice to focus on raising her two young children, while maintaining her dedication to the dental hygiene profession. Her public health background and commitment to patient well-being continue to influence her work and advocacy within the oral health community.

Hollee Mundell has been a Dental Hygienist since 2012. She moved from Tucson, AZ to Montrose, Colorado in 2013. She has been a member of ADHA since 2019. It wasn't until 2021 that she became more involved in the Colorado Dental Hygienist Association as an Alternate Trustee for the Western Slope component, and moved to Director of the Western Slope component in 2022. Being involved in the CODHA has been a great insight as to how the State Association works, and the Association's involvement in legislation. It has been an honor for her to represent the Western Slope for the last two years.

Meet Lisa Westhoff, RDH, BSDH, MSDH – Executive Director and Public Health Innovator
Lisa Westhoff serves as the Executive Director of the Colorado Dental Hygienists’ Association (CODHA), bringing over 15 years of professional expertise and a deep passion for advancing the dental hygiene profession. A dedicated CODHA member, Lisa has held numerous leadership positions, including President (2020–2021), House of Delegates Secretary, Western Slope Component leadership, and Chair of the Regulation and Practice Committee. Her extensive involvement reflects a steadfast commitment to advocating for dental hygienists, enhancing professional practice, and expanding access to quality oral health care.
Lisa’s career journey has spanned private practice, public health, and education. After graduating from Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) in 2007, she pursued further education, earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) in 2016 and her Master’s of Science in Dental Hygiene (MSDH) in 2019. This advanced training enables her to implement innovative programs, promote minimally invasive dental practices, and effectively integrate telehealth into oral health services.
Over a decade of private practice experience laid the foundation for Lisa’s transition into public health, where she developed and managed prevention-focused school-based oral health initiatives and mobile clinics to serve underserved populations. As an educator, Lisa designed and taught dental hygiene curricula, empowering future professionals to excel in clinical care and community engagement.
Beyond individual patient care, Lisa collaborates with legislators, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to elevate oral health standards throughout Colorado. In her role as Executive Director of CODHA, Lisa remains dedicated to fostering growth, opportunity, and innovation for Colorado’s dental hygienists while improving oral health outcomes for all communities.
