Boulder Component

Director – Tammy Madewell

Colorado Springs Component

Director – Heather Schenkel, RDH, BSAH

Heather has always loved the field of dentistry and is honored to be a part of it. She was a previous orthodontic dental assistant and EDDA and this experience gave her a vast knowledge of all things dentistry to share with her patients. Her enthusiasm for learning led her to Pueblo Community College and to the dental hygiene program. With the help of the outstanding faculty and staff there, her love for dentistry grew. She graduated in May 2017 and dove headfirst into working and volunteering with CODHA. She aspires to help make a difference in the field and work to change the separation between oral and systemic treatment of patients and find a way to integrate the medical and dental fields to allow for a whole body approach to treatment.

Metro Denver Component

Director – Tabitha Converse RDH

Tabitha graduated in 1998 from Sheridan College with an Associate’s degree, and then completed Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming in 1998. Alternate Director – Candice Bronzini RDH, BSDH

In 2014, she completed my Bachelor’s of Science in Dental Hygiene through Old Dominion University’s online degree completion program. After 9 great years of clinical hygiene at the same office, she decided to leave so as to advance her career and new learn skills. She is now an Internal Sales Representative for HealthyStart. She lives in Arvada with her husband Mark and their dog Daisy.

She has always said, “At some point I will get involved in the Association,” but has never submitted a nomination. She feels this is the right time and Western Slope is a right place for her to start and to get involved.

Alternate Director – Alyson Johnson RDH

Alyson (Aly) lives in Rifle and has worked in private practice her whole career. She also does a sealant program in the schools over on the western slope. She is married and has a 14 year old son. She would like to take on different positions to increase her involvement in the association.
