Vaccine Administration by RDH Tracking

One company that is helping staff COVID-19 vaccine clinic sites around the state is Highline Medical Solutions.
You would be an independent contractor and aren’t held to any contract length. Pay is $30/hr.

The Colorado Dental Hygienists’ Association is working diligently to sort through the information that is quickly changing regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. As information and resources become available, we will try to keep this page up to date.

Centers for Disease Control Training Modules

At this time, Colorado is not requiring any specific training for dentists and dental hygienists to be able to administer vaccines. Please talk to the medical provider who is supervising you for vaccine administration to determine what training they feel is necessary before you begin.

However, CDC has put together training resources for healthcare professionals who are interested in learning more to be prepared to serve their communities in this way.

Register on the Colorado Volunteer Mobilization Database

Colorado Volunteer Mobilization Database

This site is used to register, notify, and inform individuals who are interested in volunteering in the event of an accidental or intentional emergency, or other public or health care disaster. This site can also be used to register and notify other industries in the event of an emergency.

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. FEMA ICS course requirements are being waived at this time – please disregard the message.
  2. If you would like to stay in your local area, you will want to select “Local” under deployment preferences.
  3. If you would like to work within a specific county, then you should select that county under your one of the organization tabs.

Adams County 

Arapahoe County

Broomfield County

  • Broomfield Public Health is utilizing retail pharmacy partners to administer vaccine, so they are not looking for vaccinators at the moment. They are utilizing volunteers in other ways at our events. If anyone is interested in assisting them manage flow, providing education on the v-safe program or observing the waiting area they are welcome to sign up in the volunteer database at: http://vaccinationclinics.broomfield.volunteerhub.com/
    • “Create Account”
    • Enter a username and password that you can remember
    • Make sure the box that says “I need a background check” is checked
    • Fill out the rest of the information
    • Click the “Initiate Background Check” button to be taken to the BIS website to submit your background check
    • Finish completing your account in VolunteerHub
    • After your account is created in VolunteerHub and your background check is submitted to BIS, you can wait to receive an email notification that your background check has cleared
    • Once you receive that email and you are given permissions to be part of the group of volunteers assisting with the vaccination clinics, you can sign up for shifts

Douglas County

Eagle County

  •  Eagle County Public Health is looking for volunteers.  Please fill out the vaccine volunteer form. Once you have completed the form, you will begin to receive links through sign up genius to participate in vaccine events.

Jefferson County 

  • Jefferson County will utilize the Colorado Volunteer Mobilization database to contact interested healthcare professionals. Please register using the link above.

Lincoln County 

  • Lincoln County does not currently need help with vaccine clinics. They will reach out if they need help in the future.

Summit County 

  • Summit County is asking that CODHA compile a list of interested dental hygienists for them to reach out to. If you are interested in helping in Summit County, please fill out this form and we will share the list with them.
